Originating from the former Biologicals Department of Innogenetics and incorporating technology acquired from the Protein Service Facility of the Flemish Institute of biotechnology (VIB) and the University of Gent, Q-Biologicals is offering services to third parties to help them in speeding up the development and manufacturing of their biological products. This can be done by in-house development and production or by “hands-on consultancy”, bringing our expertise to the client. Our multidisciplinary staff has a long standing expertise and in-depth knowledge of working in the biological production field.

Technical infrastructure of the company and the expertise of our scientists allow us to develop in an accelerated way production processes and to manufacturer large quantities of recombinant proteins produced by microbial cells and higher eukaryotic cells as well as antibodies, viruses and live cells. Production-scale for microbial as for eukaryotic cells is up to 100 litre. 
cGMP manufacturing of clinical trial materials and small commercial batches will be offered from Q1 2013.

Besides process development services and manufacturing, we offer analytical method development and routine analysis such as biochemical assays, biophysical assays, bioassays and microbial assays. Moreover, qualification and validation of these methods can be performed and stability indicating assays can be developed.

In addition to the above services, Q-Biologicals can assist third parties in their process development work and cGMP projects by making its know-how and expertise available to them. This is done as direct “hands-on” consultancy assistance by our expert scientists under the credo “We perform the work for you”.
